10 questions to increase how I listen to myself

Listening is a connection, a connection to the joy of creation.

If listening  is an act of creation, I want to increase the quality of my listening.

Here’s the list of 10 questions to increase the quality of my listening.

What are you really listening to?

This month with my inner circle we are talking about listening,

  • listening to ourselves
  • listening to our inner dialogue
  • and listening to our heart.

What we’ve discovered is that most of the time, when I think about something I’d love to try…

  • “I would love to create a new project.”
  • “I would love to ask that person to go out with me.”
  • “I would love to find a job more aligned with my values.”

…what happens instantly is, we wait to be perfect before taking actions:

  • I don’t have enough information to start my project. I’m not good enough.
  • I am not ready to talk to the person that I love. I dont have the perfect words.
  • I don’t deserve a job that would fulfill me. I need more qualifications.

So when I want to create something valuable for my life, what am I listening to?

“Am I listening to my Perfectionism or am I listening to my Joy of creation?”

If I believe that my dreams and my desires are intended to be fulfilled,

and if my perfectionism is in the way of creating something good for my Life and Others,

here’s the list of 10 questions that would help us today to move forward.

What if I didn’t have to do it perfectly…

What if I DID NOT have to share my love, share my feelings, share my ideas PERFECTLY,

what would I’d like to TRY…

So what would you like to try?

What would you love to try today?

After asking that SAME question 10 times, you will hear what your heart want to say.

You will start to listen to yourself,

and here’s something you could hear instead..

“Actually, I’d try to…”

Connecting with the joy of creation

“Actually, I’d try…” is a whisper coming from your soul.

  • I would love to try to write that book.
  • I would love to try to call my mother and to tell her how I feel.
  • I would love to start to look for another job.
  • I would love to try to bring my deepest values into my job.
  • I would love to try to bring more empathy in my relationships.

So if I didn’t have to do it perfectly, what would be 5 things I’d love to try this week.

There is no point of overcoming your fear of perfection,

but instead of Perfection this week,

how could you listen to your willingness to create?

How are you listening to your willingness to try stuff and to show up.

I’m not asking you to do stuff.

I’m just asking you to be willing to be open to the opportunity of trying stuff.

Maybe you will say out loud something that you thought was never possible for you to say…

and you will start to listen to what you TRULLY have to say to yourself.

Happy listening everyone.
